A soothing, glide-on natural deodorant stick balm to keep you fresh all day long.
Fragrant Berry is made with juniper berry essential oil and has a crisp, woody and sweet aroma with a hint of a fruity note.
What does it feel like? Our magnesium formula softens on contact with the skin for a silky smooth and non-sticky and non-greasy finish.
How do I apply it? Twist the tube to break the tamper seal and gently push the base to release the deodorant. Hold the stick against your skin for 2-3 seconds to warm and then glide on. 2 to 3 strokes are usually enough and will protect you for the whole day. Some people apply at night before bed and others prefer to apply in the morning.
Does it really work? Will it keep me fresh? Absolutely yes! Our formulations are gentle but powerful and effective and are trusted by active sports people. We use organic coconut oil, mango butter and essential oils in our deodorant balms, along with natural magnesium to deodorise and organic arrowroot to absorb moisture.
Will it leave white marks on my clothes? No. Our natural deodorant balms are transparent so won’t mark your clothes.
How long does a tube last? Our 75g deodorant sticks are great value for money and will last 2-3 months or longer. On average, keeping fresh costs about 13p a day!
Will it irritate my sensitive skin? No. All our ingredients are ethically sourced, and most are organic. Our plastic-free deodorants contain no bicarbonate of soda and are aluminium-free to minimise skin irritation.
Is it suitable for my teenagers? Yes, our deodorant is a safe and natural alternative to protect from embarrassing body odour and suitable for all ages.
Is it plastic-free? Yes. Our push up and glide on deodorant sticks are packaged in a 100% paper tubes for hygiene and ease of application. Even our labels are compostable and printed with vegetable inks. If you compost the tube after use it will break down within around 8 weeks.
Is it cruelty-free? Yes. As with all our products, our vegan society certified deodorants are cruelty-free, and are handmade in the UK, poured into 100% recyclable or home compostable tubes.

Application: Use daily after showering. To release the balm push the base gently into the tube lid. Hold the balm against your underarm for 2-3 seconds to warm, then glide to apply. Effective all day and evening. A 75g tube should last you 2 to 3 months.
Care: Please look after your product by storing it in a cool, dry place. Our natural balms will soften in warm temperatures above 30 degrees but will become firm again if cooled.
Your paper container tube or jar may darken with the natural oils of your balm as you use it, developing a deeper patina. This is normal and doesn’t affect the quality of your balm and we think it’s better than having a throw away plastic container. You can recycle or compost after use.
Use within 24 months of purchase. Do not use on broken skin or immediately after shaving/waxing. Discontinue use if adverse reaction occurs.

After using antiperspirants for years since I entered puberty, I started using deodorant balms/creams about two years ago. The motivation was to reduce plastic use in toiletries and to be honest, I found that antiperspirants made me smell worse when I’ve had an especially sweaty day. I initially tried a different brand with their ‘gentle’ formulation (no bicarb) before moving on to their ‘clean’ formulation (with bicarb). It took my body about 2 months to adjust, but generally, the result was good. No smells at the end of the day even after exercising and I eventually accepted that sweat is natural. I also tried another brand, but I had an adverse reaction to it…too much bicarb in the formulation? Anyway, I stuck with the brand I originally started with until I found out about Scence. What drew me to it is that there is no bicarb used and the scents available are quite appealing.
I’ve been using Scence for 3 weeks now, and I’m really happy with how it has worked great for me. Granted that because I am now working from home, there are less opportunities to get sweaty through the day. However, I try to exercise regularly and this keeps me pong-free! Other advantages of this deodorant are: 1) it doesn’t leave white marks on my dark clothes; 2) does not clump into white bits between the lines in my pits; 3) doesn’t leave an oily residue on my clothes; 4) my underarm skin is feeling a lot smoother.
I am glad I found and tried this brand of deodorant. I bought another scent (citrus) and I am looking forward to using that when this juniper berry one runs out. I hope it works as well!

I love this deodorant and I am now a regular user of Scence and a fan! I have now purchased some lip & body balms to try next. I have adjusted to natural deodorant fairly easily. I went through the transition period with a different brand of deodorant but I wasn’t entirely happy with that other brand. I saw a review for Scence and started using it and I have never looked back. And as the previous review states, I don’t smell even after exercise and it leaves no stains on my clothes. I find it gentle, goes on smooth, is not sticky. I also love the gentle scent. I bought three different scents to see which one I like best. One stick lasts for ages, its great value and I will try one of the other scents now but I love this Berry one.
